Kert Viiart

Kert Viiart (b.1989) is a graphic designer and visual artist based in Tallinn, Estonia. He recently graduated from the graphic design department's Master's degree programme Non-Linear Narratives at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague. In his artistic practice, he deals with the influence of technological development on visual language by researching the relations of virtual representations on everyday objects and environments. Currently, he is analyzing the problematics of posthumous conditions and the age of plastic, seeking to explore the impact of the use and display of plastic both as a material/tool and as an artifact in the methodologies of archaeology. In 2013 he co-founded a graphic design studio Studio Le60 together with Carl-Rober Kagge. As a graphic designer, Kert Viiart is mainly working in the cultural field for various artists, initiatives, festivals, and institutions, focusing on posters, visual identity, motion graphics, 3D animations, exhibition designs, and publications.
